Christmas celebrations are based on traditions. These traditions vary around the world and are unique to both culture and regions, for example the Kentucky Fried Chicken Christmas Dinners of Japan (shown below) as well as individual families. While everyone’s Christmas traditions may vary, many of these traditions are quite similar.
A new, quirky “tradition” has emerged in Japan in recent years – a Christmas Day feast of the Colonel’s very own Kentucky Fried Chicken
I recently heard of a Christmas tradition in Iceland known as “The Christmas Book Flood”. I LOVED this idea and it made me reflect on some of my own Christmas traditions and how to personally incorporate reading into my future holidays.
This year I am starting a tradition among my own family to gift a book to each of my children every year for Christmas and to spend time reading together . I hope this tradition will continue to carry on from generation to generation and to all of you… “HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
