Iggy Azalea is laughing off reports that she and Jennifer Lopez will make the censors jump with their performance at the American Music Awards. They will perform the song “Booty.” Azalea tweets they have no plans to expose any intimate body parts, but they “aren’t performing in turtleneck sweaters either.” Azalea has the most nominations, with six. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell (fah-REL’) Williams have five nominations each. The AMAs will be Sunday in Los Angeles and air live on ABC.
ECHOSMITH DEAL WITH NEWFOUND COOLNESS
CHICAGO (AP) — Echosmith sing about wishing they were like the cool kids. Now they have to deal with jokes that they ARE the cool kids. Singer Sydney Sierota (sih-ROH’-tah) says the song “Cool Kids” is about the desire to fit in, and that’s true no matter how much success you get. She says she still feels inadequate, but becoming a cool kid is a process and what makes you cool is being yourself. Her brother, bassist Noah Sierota, says their recent appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” made him think maybe they are cool after all. He says he can’t even watch it because it’s “too trippy” for him.
